WHAT IT IS: The Japanese compact SUV that is sold in other markets with ASX names and RVR. It is the third generation of the series initiated by the SpaceRunner in the 90s. The Outlander Sport was presented as an avant-premiere in ExpoAgro 2011 ( see note ) and plans to manufacture in Brazil from next year ( see note ). Shares many components with the Peugeot 4008 and Citroën C4 Aircross introduced in Europe last month ( see note ). The Outlander Sport comes Alfacar imported from Japan and deliveries are scheduled for January 2012.
MECHANICAL: It provides a single engine, gasoline engine 2.0 16 valve, 150 horsepower. 4 × 2 version has front-wheel drive five-speed manual gearbox. The 4 × 4 comes with an automatic six-speed CVT.
AS: Safety equipment, all versions come standard with ABS brakes, stability control, traction control, seven airbags, Hill-start assist, Isofix and rear parking sensors. The 4WD version adds Full-screen backup camera inserted into the internal mirror.
LEAST: He should have released this summer, but new government regulations for importers forced to reschedule their marketing. It can be ordered, but deliveries are planned for newly January 2012.
DETAIL: The 4WD version is notable for providing full panoramic roof, leather upholstery with heated front seats and xenon headlights.
